My house is clean. My house is quiet. My house is peaceful. My kids are sleeping. Dinner is at church tonight so I don't have to cook today. I have a few notes to write, and then I'm going to make a cup of Constant Comment tea (my very favorite) and sit down and READ!!! I can't tell you the last time I sat down (for more than 30 minutes) with a good book. I'm really excited! I'm looking forward to getting the box of Trader Joe's pumpkin bread mix that Amber is sending me in the mail. Then I can have tea AND pumkin bread while I read. Doesn't that sound like the perfect activity for a cool, autumn afternoon?
I'm currently reading "The Same Kind of Different As Me" by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. It was recommended to me by my friend Karen.
Whare are you reading right now? I'm always in the market for a good read, and I would love your recommendations.

OH my goodies! That sounds like an AMAZING fall afternoon! I would LOVE to do that soon! And YUM pumpkin bread! TEA! What in the world does the tea taste like?! It sounds fascinating! I just finished the " Lancaster" series by Beverly Lewis, and one of my all time favorites is "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers. What is your book about?
I'm in need of a good book too. I'm usually reading one "serious" book for bible study (right now it is Calm my Anxious Heart and it's outstanding!) and one fun book. I don't have a fun book right now and I'm in withdrawl! I need some lighthearted levity before bed. Hope you get some good suggestions!
I have my reads posted on my blog... but my favorite fun read is the When Crickets Cry. We're reading it in our book club and I'm loving it!
Do you like suspense/mystery novels? I just finished reading a Ted Dekker book called Adam. It was pretty good!
I'd love to know what you think about "Same Kind of Different" - I've heard a lot of good stuff about it.
I would highly recommend "Stepping Heavenward" by Mrs. E. Prentiss. It's journal entries of Elizabeth Prentiss who wrote the Hymn "More Love to Thee." It's an excellent read, so real and refreshing. It's one you'll want on your bookshelf for Whitney to read one day. You can find copies for cheap on Amazon. Let me know if you read it.
